In addition to books, I have several interrelated personal finance projects:
I founded the blog Our Next Life in 2015 to document the journey my husband Mark Bunge and I were on to retire early at the ages of 38 and 41, which we did at the end of 2017. Now the blog takes readers along for the ride in early retirement and shares the many lessons I continue to learn through research and direct life experience in this non-traditional way of approaching work and money.
Winner of Blog of the Year at the 2018 Plutus Awards, the top honor in the personal finance community.
I co-host the podcast The Fairer Cents with Kara Perez of Bravely. The Fairer Cents examines the special ways that economics and societal forces impact women and our money, and creates space for discussions that move us toward financial equality.
It’s not just one of the best finance podcasts — it’s one of the best podcasts, period.
— The Simple Dollar
Winner of best podcast for women at the 2019 Plutus Awards.
I founded the Cents Positive retreat to give women interested in financial independence a safe space to come together and discuss the issues unique to us and our money. Cents Positive happens several times a year at locations around the world.
